Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of Fractal Street’s core trading and brokerage platform.
- Design and build a scalable, high-performance backend using modern technologies.
- Establish direct exchange connectivity and integrate real-time market data.
- Implement secure, low-latency trade execution and account management systems.
- Collaborate closely with the CEO and product team to define and execute the technical roadmap.
- Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of engineers as we scale.
- Optimize infrastructure using AWS, Terraform, and containerized solutions (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Ensure robust security measures and compliance with financial regulations.
Required Skills & Experience
Experience
2-5 years of software development experience, preferably in fintech or trading.
Expertise
Backend development using Python, Node.js, Rust, or C++
Order Management & APIs
Experience with order management systems (OMS), FIX/REST/WebSocket APIs.
Cloud & DevOps
Strong knowledge of AWS, Terraform, CI/CD, and cloud security best practices.
Databases
Proficiency in PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
Trading Systems
Familiarity with high-frequency trading (HFT) infrastructure is a plus.
Leadership & Communication
Strong leadership and communication skills to manage a growing engineering team.
